Kendrick Lamar Takes the No. 1 Spot, Charts Every DAMN. Song & Announces Tour
It's a good time to be Kendrick Lamar, man. The "HUMBLE." rapper continues to hear his name mentioned in the best way possible in the wake of his fourth studio album DAMN.'s arrival. After bringing in the biggest album sales of 2017 so far, the album took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts, as predicted. But what couldn't have been predicted was each of the album's 14 tracks hitting the Hot 100. Yep, everything on the album, including the opening skit "BLOOD.," charted — with "HUMBLE." and "DNA." taking No. 1 and No. 4, respectively. But his Billboard domination doesn't end there. He's also No. 1 on the Artist Chart and holds down the top nine positions on the On-Demand Streaming chart (making him the only artist to do so...ever). As if that wasn't enough Kendrick news, Kung Fu Kenny also announced that he was heading out on The DAMN. Tour this summer and bringing Travis Scott and D.R.A.M. along for the ride.
