PJ Morton Teams Up With Ford In New Campaign

Staying true to himself seems to be a recurring theme with PJ Morton. Earlier this week he released an updated take on his song "Claustrophobic," which centers on staying the course when it comes to his music and just last year, he dropped "Sticking to My Guns," another single that deals with the same topic. Well, now it looks like his hard work and dedication to remaining decidedly PJ is paying off with his latest partnership. The New Orleans-based musician has been tapped by Southern Quality Ford Dealers as part of the company's Spring 2017 Ford Music campaign.

As part of the partnership, Ford will spotlight Morton's music across FM radio, streaming audio, social media and video platforms to create a unique Ford customer experience. Coincidentally, Morton's single "Sticking to My Guns" will serve as the campaign's theme song. "It's incredible to have Ford support my music. It's just such a brand that's so respected around the world and to get little ol' me to link up with them, it's an honor," he said of the opportunity in a promo video. In addition to discussing the chance to partner with Ford, Morton also shines some light on what inspired him to begin writing songs, how being from New Orleans shapes his music and the inspiration behind "Sticking to My Guns," admitting that it has grown to mean multiple things to him since penning it.

The partnership was facilitated through Music Audience Exchange (MAX), which is a marketing technology company that uses data to match artists with brands for cross-promotional opportunities. The unique campaign is also providing fans of Morton with the opportunity to win tickets to a live performance on April 22nd and meet the man himself.
