June's Diary Turns Jodeci's 'Stay' Into Their Own

June's Diary, Kelly Rowland's protégés from the BET reality show Chasing Destiny, are taking it all the way back to 1991 this week for their latest harmonious offering. The quintet is getting their '90s swag on with their own rendition of Jodeci's "Stay." A classic choice for a group that consistently bodies a cappella performances, they also decided to turn things up a notch with accompanying visuals. Directed by Derek Blanks, the video features the ladies in baggy leather pants, silky pajamas and chokers while displaying their finest '90s moves. Shyann Roberts, Krystal Lyndriette, Brienna DeVlugt, Ashly Williams and Gabrielle Correiro take turns singing the verses in the video, channeling their inner Jodeci enough so to transport us back to a time when courting was a thing.

All five of the ladies have won a piece of our hearts with their confidence and talent, and it seems that quite a few folks feel the same way. The ladies are currently opening for R. Kelly on the After Party Tour and also have a slot to perform during this year's ESSENCE Festival. June's Diary is also recording their debut album and hopes that fans will help them choose songs for the project. You can follow the group on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to make sure you don't miss a thing from the singers. Watch their version of Jodeci's classic right here and let us know if they matched or surpassed the swag of the original.
