J. Cole's 'Foldin' Clothes' Gets A Romantic Refix From Iman Europe

Like many of our favorite artists, Iman Europe has been dropping hints (and raising our hopes) that a new project may be released in the coming months. Only time will tell whether or not we'll get a full-length album (fingers crossed) or an EP along the lines of Caterpillar or Hello, Mellow, but for now we're happy to feast on whatever she brings to the table. And after hearing her "Soul Flip" of J.Cole's "Foldin' Clothes," we're gonna need another helping 'cause this is sho nuff good.

Before releasing the surprise single, Europe confessed, "Haven't released music in a while. I'm lowkey nervous lol. Got a feeling you're gonna love this one though." Trust us, she had no reason to be nervous because she was right, we love it! Taken from Cole's current album 4 Your Eyez Only, the guitar-driven original is a love letter in hip-hop form as Jermaine pays tribute to his lady (and hopefully inspires a new trend in relationships). Although she makes a few lyrical adjustments, Iman maintains the song's sincerity and overall theme. Producer [w] (aka Wayne Valentine) combines wavy synth, hypnotic bass and jazzy percussion to create a seductive backdrop that feels tailor made for Iman's smooth and sultry vocals. Forget flowers and chocolate, do some laundry this Valentine's Day and see if you don't "create some laundry" by the end of the night.

Listen to Iman Europe's "Foldin' Clothes" refix, keep up with her musings via her blog and follow her on SoundCloud, Instagram and Twitter for music updates. Oakland-area Bouncers can catch her in concert along with 1-O.A.K., Siri, and Jay Ant on February 11th at Regulars Only.
