2017 ESSENCE Festival To Host First-Ever Ladies Night With Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Chaka Khan & More

The 2017 ESSENCE Festival announced their star-studded lineup at the tail end of last year and now they're upping the ante with an evening dedicated solely to women. For the first time ever, during this year's Fourth of July weekend at the Louisiana Superdome, festival goers can enjoy an all-female roster of acts both on the Main Stage and smaller Superlounges. Inspired by festival headliner Mary J. Blige, and her highly anticipated album Strength of A Woman, the evening entitled "My Path to Strength" will feature all women performers including newly announced musical acts Jill Scott, Monica, Jhené Aiko, Remy Ma, Ari Lennox and many more.
