Lauriana Mae Lightens The Mood With 'How We Live'

At a time when tension and emotions are running high, a bit of “feel good” music couldn’t be more appropriate. The new single from Lauriana Mae, “How We Live,” reminds us that no matter how bad things may seem, or what challenges we might face, the people we surround ourselves with make all the difference. Lyrics like, “The worst times, are the best times, and your best friends don’t care what you got / Yeah, the worst times, are the best times, and your best friends don’t care who you’re not,” glide over the joyful, bouncy track fit for a skating rink or a brisk stroll through your neighborhood. If you don’t find yourself in even a slightly better mood after listening to this joint, you might want to check your pulse.

The single is the latest release from Mae’s debut studio album entitled Can’t Go Back, which is set to be released on January 20th. The 11-track project will include her previous Jack Splash-produced song "LOL" and will give us more of a look into who the Atlantic Records signee is as an artist. When asked about the inspiration behind her latest offering, she describes the song as a “reflection of where I currently am in my life and how content I am with it.” She says it “describes all the shortcomings I have endured in my life, and how much my family and friends make me feel a sense of gratification despite it.” Lauriana Mae's tribe sounds like they've got her back.

When you find yourself in need of a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or if you need to quickly chase the current blues away, give “How We Live” a spin. Be sure to check out her full album which will be available soon for streaming on all music platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and SoundCloud.
