Way back in 1973, Stax Records recording artists The Emotions asked the question we still haven’t figured out the answer to: “What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?”  Singer/songwriter Georgia Reign puts her modern spin on the melancholy Christmas melody with her remake. As with the original, we feel a tug on our heartstrings and feel the pain in her voice as she yearns for her lover amidst all the joy and laughter associated with the holiday. All of the classic elements of the tune are preserved, while Reign lends her passionate vocals to the ode for those who may be missing the one they love the most at the time of year when it seems everyone is surrounded by their loved ones.

Since the debut of her two mixtapes, Jackin 4 Beats and #DopeBoyzLuvMe in 2013, Georgia Reign has been getting her shine behind and in front of the scene. She’s opened shows for Raheem DeVaughn, starred in Oxygen’s reality show Living With Funny chronicling her unique relationship with comedian Michael Blackson and is flourishing as a fitness model and trainer. These days, she’s said to be getting back to her music, her calling and her empowerment of strong women that can do, say and have it all.

Hear a softer side of Atlanta’s own Georgia Reign, and give her twist on a soulful holiday classic a spin right here.
