For the past few of years, The Art of Cool Project has been bringing some of the hottest acts to Durham, North Carolina with its annual Art of Cool Festival. Past festival performers have included Roy Ayers, Kamasi Washington, Jesse Boykins III, Anthony Hamilton, The Internet, Thundercat and a host of other SoulBounce faves. With the jazz/hip hop/alternative soul festival growing larger and larger with each year, the announcement of fourth annual event's performers will surely cement its place amongst the top music festivals in the country.
The Art of Cool Festival has revealed that one of the 2017 headliners will be none other than George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. Other performers include Rakim, Terrace Martin & The Polly Seeds, Just Blaze, Theo Crocker, Sputnik, RC & the Gritz, Marquis Hill, Kenneth Whalum, The Baylor Project and Christian Scott. The Hamiltones, the dynamic trio best known as Anthony Hamilton's soulfully hilarious background vocalists, will step into the spotlight on their own as they perform during the weekend's exclusive VIP Brunch. Rounding out the list of confirmed acts so far are even more SoulBounce faves such as NAO, JMSN and GoldLink.
