For day two of the 2016 Summer Spirit Festival, the musical festivities were kicked off by local band Wisdom Speeks. Dubbing themselves "It's the band that you've heard about," those who were unfamiliar got a quick lesson about the "global soul" stylings of the group led by singer/saxophonist Whop Craig who also goes by the name Wisdom Speeks. Blending R&B, hip hop, reggae, go-go and more, Wisdom Speeks (the man and the band) entertained the DMV audience with a little something for everyone.
