Actress, singer, model, spokeswoman, diva and proud mama Teyana Taylor plans to hit the road this year performing unplugged renditions of her 2014 album, VII. Announced via Instagram, aka the Hood PRWire, the VII Unplugged Tour is set to launch April 26th in Silver Spring, Maryland, with stops in 10 cities including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, with more dates to be announced. While we aren’t sure what to expect from a live, unplugged show from the starlet, we have faith she’ll put on a good performance.
We’re hoping that her tour will not only include tracks from her pleasantly surprising debut album and her equally enjoyable The Cassette 1994 EP, but hopefully she’ll break us off with some new music. It’s been a minute since the Princess of Harlem blessed us with something we can feel, and, trust us, we’ve been feeling everything she’s put out since her astoundingly good debut. More importantly, we want everyone else to catch on to this young woman’s talent who has clearly grown leaps and bounds from her “Google Me” days. With that said, it’s good to see an artist grow and develop their sound and their particular brand of fury.
For anyone interested in seeing Baby Junie’s mom perform live, tickets go on sale April 1st. Check out the list of preliminary dates right here.
