In case you didn't know, the prolific Mayer Hawthorne is gearing up to release yet another album this April with his latest, Man About Town. We've already gotten audio samples of what to expect form the set with the '70s-leaning "Cosmic Love" and the '80s yacht rock of "Love Like That," but what about the visuals? Well, it seems that Mayer is looking to tell a story this go 'round, as he's created a three-part arc in which he plays a private dick trying to solve a head-scratching whodunit. We already got part one of the story in the video for "Cosmic Love" — in which Mayer meets a gorgeous nightclub singer, gets pulled into her sob story and, after a nasty blow to the head, ends up passed out next to a dead body. Yikes. So how does our gumshoe get out of this jam?

"Love Like That" opens with the crooner holding an ice pack to his head as the coppers mill about the crime scene collecting evidence. Luckily, Mayer's in good with the boys in blue and manages to walk away to sleuth again. He immediately finds the dark-haired singer who set him on the case and reveals the evidence he bought from the police to her. Looks like her cowboy hubby drank some arsenic that didn't agree with him. But rather than grieve, Mayer finds himself in the singer's sultry clutches. After their tryst, Mayer is back on the case — that is until the mysterious lady calls him up to finish what they started. However, it's in her boudoir that Mayer finds an unexpected break in the case that might mean curtains for him. Will our hero survive to sleuth another day?

To find out, you'll have to check out the video for "Love Like That" below and then wait patiently for its follow up. But, if you're curious as to how exactly the story started, we've got the clip for "Cosmic Love" below as well.
