The Mixologists: DJ Nate Geezie's 'A Matter Of Black Lives'

In case you need a reminder, Black Lives Matter. It's more than a slogan. It's more than a hashtag. It's more than "favoring" one racial group over any others. It's a movement that brings to light some dark truths about this nation.

For this Black History Month, DJ Nate Geezie was compelled to compile a collection of songs that spoke to this movement. A Matter Of Black Lives features a blend of hip hop and soul from the likes of D'Angelo, Kendrick Lamar, Jamila Woods, Eryn Allen Kane and more who've made music that touches our broken hearts and helps to heal the wounds left behind. This is protest music. This is peaceful music. This is powerful music. This is music that we need right now, and we need more of it. We challenge all artists to use their voices and their platforms to speak up and speak out like these included on this mix have.
