Brace yourself and your ears for Christmas songs and Yuletide cheer as artists scramble to get their holiday-inspired tracks in your hands just in time for the end of the year. Joining the roster of artists doing just that are Andra Day and Stevie Wonder. The two recently came together to perform Stevie's 1967 holiday classic, "Someday At Christmas" in the name of Apple in a commercial. The 90-second ad features Stevie and his family (and producer Warryn Campbell) hanging in the house when Andra drops in to join in on the fun. While Stevie builds a track on Apple's GarageBand, Andra comes in right on time to harmonize the classic single with the crooner himself. To put the cherry on top, Stevie's childeren sing along with the duo at the end of the song to put the perfect bow on the musical gift. About the single, Stevie said on his Facebook page, "What a perfect way to start off the celebration of the holiday season - Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and the New Year, by singing a song of hope with Andra Day. I love it!"
While the ad celebrates the holidays and family, it also promotes the MacBook's VoiceOver accessibility options that help the visually impaired read everything on the screen. Stevie just wrapped his Songs In The Key Of Life Tour right before Thanksgiving, but based on this commercial, there are no signs of him slowing down. Andra also wrapped her tour in November, and will resume her U.S. tour dates next May. You can get Stevie and Andra's "Someday At Christmas" now on Apple Music and you can also find the original song on The Christmas Collection: The Best of Stevie album over on iTunes.
