Our girl Carmen Rodgers recently stopped by Atomic Sound studio in Brooklyn, NY for NYCROPHONE’s Acoustic Gold session, and she brought some incredibly talented friends along. Rodgers and friend/frequent collaborator Zo! performed an unplugged set for this rousing live session that included live versions of her songs “It’s Me” and “Charge,” along with a cover of Sam Smith’s “I’m Not the Only One.” The most beautiful part of it all came when Rodgers called on SoulBounce fave Nicholas Ryan Gant to fill in for Anthony David to perform “Charge” with her. These two vocal powerhouses brought new life to the sweet ballad as they filled the studio space with heavenly harmonies over Zo!, Charles Norris and Victor Song's musical musings.
