If that’s your idea of a good time, international wonders Nico & Vinz have a little something for you. They teamed up with iced tea purveyors Nestea for their international “A Taste of Freedom” campaign, creating the new song “Fresh Idea” to be featured in campaigns and television spots. And now, just in time for the summertime fun, they’ve released an accompanying video that’s sure to get you ready for the days ahead.
“Fresh Idea” builds on what the duo offered with their breakthrough single, the infectious “Am I Wrong,” with lyrics full of youthful, hopeful exuberance sure to put a smile on your face. Musically, they trade on what works for them, with a soundbed reminiscent of African pop with a little bit of soca thrown in for good measure. The video focuses on two people making a connection over a bottle of Nestea (naturally) as they have a joyful excursion. They go kayaking, dive into perfectly blue waters and frolic with abandon. Nico & Vinz, meanwhile, provide the soundtrack as they perform in a forest and on a sandy beach, infusing the clip with even more delight.
