Will Lion Babe ever stop bringing the heat? Even with the summer weather warming things up, the New York-based duo keeps serving us with hot music. They brought us their self-titled debut last year and then delivered their wonderful "Wonder Woman" this past spring. And now they bring us more heat with new single "Impossible."

Like "Wonder Woman" before it, "Impossible" is a funky workout that throws back to an older sound while still bringing things into the modern age. Over a simple, percussive beat that percolates, singer Jillian Hervey asserts herself with sass and flair on the verse before delivering an earworm-y bridge that leads to the triumphant chorus: "You can't break me down and shake me / Don't try to rearrange me / No way that you change me / It's impossible." And with that, she delivers yet another kiss off to any man who thinks that he might be able to tame her wild child spirit.

"Impossible" makes the second single that we're getting from the duo's soon-to-come debut album. While no release date has been announced or confirmed for the as-yet-untitled project, it's safe to say that they've definitely got our attention. "Impossible" is available now for pre-order now on iTunes now. Take a listen to one of your new favorite songs below.
