Tamia is preparing to give us her latest musical offering, Love Life, in just a few short weeks. Our first taste of the project, the delectable "Sandwich and a Soda," was a sultry jam that had us wide open for more of what Tamia was offering. And now we have our next taste with slow jam "Stuck With Me."
The song's production, provided by Polow Da Don, is back in sultry territory, with its liquid bass line and sexy melody getting us in the mood. The feeling is helped along by Tamia's breathy backing vocals, which find her cooing seductively to punctuate the verse. Lyrically, however, the song is actually about her commitment to her man. "When I'm not with you / I'm feel lost without you," she sings, "Baby, your stuck with me." Who knew a statement of endearing love and loyalty could be so enticing?
We must admit that, so far, the quality of the two lead singles is making the wait for Love Life, which will make its way to retailers on June 9th, a bit unbearable. Luckily we can put "Stuck With Me" on repeat (and add it to our GTD playlists) until the album arrives. Dim the lights, slip into something comfortable and join us when you press play.
