Snoop Dogg and Charlie Wilson whip up cool with G-funk confection “Peaches N Cream”
Speaking of the Snoop Dogg and the sounds of the ‘80s, The Doggfather has always had an affinity for the laid-back grooves of old-school R&B. If you had any doubts, just go back to Doggystyle and take a listen to the production on tracks like “Ain’t No Fun” and “Doggy Dogg World.” This year, however, he’s linking up with Pharrell Williams and releasing BUSH. Based on our first taste of the project, the Charlie Wilson-assisted “Peaches N Cream,” Snoop will once again be playing with the sounds of the ‘80s. In fact, minus Snoop’s smoked-out flow and timely references, you’d think this joint came from 1983. While we anticipated that BUSH would be a hot album in 2015, we had no idea it’d be smoking like this. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) -- D-Money
