So, remember that time that Usher dropped a handful of hot singles and then left us hanging with expectations of an album dancing in our heads? Yeah, that was so not cool, Ursh. However, maybe we shouldn't lose all hope of a new Usher album coming our way, as a new track by him has just leaked to the 'Net.
"All Falls Down" actually finds the ATL representer teaming up once again with Chris Brown (apparently their last dual effort, "New Flame," stoked a musical fire). But, instead of the uptempo, danceable number that we'd probably expect, the two instead link up for a sentimental ballad about heartbreak. The fellas contemplate the more difficult side of love as synth piano and programmed drums create a sparse, emotional backdrop for their soulful vocals.
"I'm the fool who falls to easily / We all fall down sometimes / So why can't I," they each sing on the wrenching chorus. While "New Flame" proved that their voices work well together, here they really complement each other. Though it's obvious based on some of the sound quality that this is a leaked demo, we wouldn't be mad if a finished version made it onto Usher's new album...whenever that arrives.
