SoulBounce Exclusive: We Surely 'Don't Mind' What DJ Soulchild Does To Usher

Usher I Don't Mind DJ Soulchild Remix Cover

It may be morning, but it's never too early to hit the strip club, is it? Good, because our homey from Switzerland DJ Soulchild has a little somethin' somethin' to share with you. The Swiss DJ, who we last saw deliver a slammin' remix to Usher's single "Clueless," has decided to take on Ursh once again and remix the ATL representer's ode to ladies who work the pole for a living, "I Don't Mind." And we here at SoulBounce are happy to give you the exclusive world premiere of this banging joint.

Where the original version was fairly sparse musically, with just an 808, synth piano and programmed hand claps to support Usher's tender vocal, DJ Soulchild takes things up several notches by stripping back that beat and replacing it with a slick sample of Melba Moore's 1982 disco jam "Love's Comin' At Ya." While the infectious disco jam doesn't exactly scream women twerkin' and sliding down poles, it does give said ladies a bit more to move to as the groove and funk is undeniable. Not to mention, the more upbeat sound gives a boost to Usher's vocal and makes Juicy J's rap seem a bit more urgent and less drowsy. Add in a few ad-libs from two of the biggest strip club anthems ever (Luke's "I Wanna Rock" and Khia's "My Neck, My Back") and you have an exotic dancing anthem with a heart of gold.

You can stream and download DJ Soulchild's take on "I Don't Mind" exclusively right here, but be sure to pay a visit to his SoundCloud page, which features a host of other blends, remixes and mixtapes.
