The lead single from The Tin Man, "Just Leave," is a sweet soul number reminiscent of the classic mid-‘70s sound of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway and reworked in recent years by groups like Electric Empire. The song sees Brown begging for mercy from a wayward lover and all their distractions. The second release comes in the form of the slightly heavier "Somewhere Around," which sees Brown’s dulcet vocals primed to make hearts melt as he sings of a friend who he’s happy to play the fool for. These two tracks alone are a strong introduction to this soulful singer-songwriter’s polished and yet authentic musical style.

The honesty conveyed in Brown’s music is by far his most endearing quality as an artist. Whether singing of his desires, life’s bittersweet changes or his determination, it is very easy to root for Brown and feel what he’s feeling -- whether it’s through the wailing of the guitar, the melancholy longing in the keys or the intensity of Brown’s rich vocals. He and his band have the ability to take the listener on the journey with them through emotions and experiences, which is exactly what music should do. This is one Bounce-Worthy artist whose music manages to feel like both an old friend we’ve known our whole lives, as well as a new lover who we lustfully can’t wait to explore every facet of. Thankfully, we won’t need to wait too much longer for more from Aaron Parnell Brown with The Tin Man scheduled for release this spring.
