If you've never seen Chrisette Michele live, then you've truly been missing out on seeing one of the most gifted singers get and let loose on stage. Currently on tour to support her EP The Lyricists’ Opus, she posted two songs to SoundCloud from her recent performance at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Starting off with Ella Fitzgerald's "Summertime," which she performs often, she begins by telling the audience she went to school for jazz. We can easily tell she is learn-ed from the first few notes delivered as she explores her range. Chrisette later switches to a classical version, where she entertains the audience with her dramatic operatic vocals. She later sings her 2007 single, "If I Had My Way," harmonizing with background singer Ashleigh Smith. Chrisette goes toe-to-toe with Ashleigh, both taking turns to end the song with their best runs.

Chrisette is also back on our TV screens with TV One's R&B Divas: Los Angeles returning for a third season of reality show shenanigans. The new season premiered last night with her co-stars Chanté Moore, Lil’ Mo, Michel’le and Leela James with two new divas, Christina “Brave” Williams and Stacy Francis on the way. Speaking of LA, if you're in the area, it looks like her next performance will be with Keith Sweat at the Nokia Theatre for Valentine's Day.  We'll wait to see more tour dates from the jazzy songstress, but until then you can listen to her live performances right here or you can purchase her EP The Lyricists’ Opus on iTunes.
