Usher, Kanye West & Phylicia Rashad To Be Honored At The BET Honors 2015

The eighth annual edition of The BET Honors is right around the corner, and this year's five honorees consists of a well-deserving group of talented and innovative visionaries who have made a great impact on culture, education and technology.

The astounding Phylicia Rashad will be honored for the Theatrical Arts Award while Usher and Kanye West will be honored for the Musical Arts Award and Visionary Awards, respectively. Other honorees include Dr. Johnnetta B. Cole, director of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of African Art, who will be honored for her impact in Education and Microsoft chairman and Virtual Instruments CEO John W. Thompson, who will be receiving a Business and Technology Award.

The performance line up for the tributes includes singers Mary J. Blige, Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, Charlie Wilson, Ne-Yo, K. Michelle and Trey Songz. It will be interesting to see which artist will sing and praise each honoree. Perhaps Trey Songz and Ne-Yo will give a tribute to Usher and Patti LaBelle will sing for Phylicia Rashad. It will definitely be interesting to see what the tribute performance will be for Mr. West. We'll just have to tune in to see what happens.

With funny-man Wayne Brady returning as the host and the star-studded performances and honorees, the show will definitely be one to watch. The BET Honors 2015 will be taped this Saturday in Washington, DC and is scheduled to premiere on BET Networks on February 23rd at 9 pm ET.
