Every artist has that moment in their career when they leave caution to the wind and sing their wounded hurts out. Elle Varner is taking that moment and running with it on her upcoming album Four Letter Word. While she's still the sweet, geeky songstress we've grown to love, she's taken her angst and pain to add a little sass and spice to her sugary recipe of success.
We sat down with Elle during the first stop of her teaser tour with Adrian Marcel at the Howard Theatre in Washington, DC and learned a lot about the songstress. After singing her latest singles such as "F**k It All" and "Cold Case," Elle was beaming from the love of her Ellephants but tired from leaving her frustrations on the stage. Once she got settled, in a curse-ridden conversation, Elle got candid about her strategy for handling a cheater, her spirit animal and the concept of her new album, Four Letter Word.
