It's been a few months since one of Philadelphia's finest songbirds, Carol Riddick, ended her hiatus from music and blessed fans with the release of the new song, "Love Like I've Never Been Hurt Before," over the summer. As she plans for her sophomore album's release at the top of next year, she ends this one with the release of the music video for the single, which SoulBounce is happy to world premiere.

Riddick looks radiant in these visuals directed by Brian Kyle Atkins, as she walks through a lush forest wearing a floor-length dress fit for a black-tie affair. Her red gown stands out against the tall trees and greenery with sunrays peeking through on this perfect day, but it's her warm, inviting smile that shines brightest of all. We see Carol meandering around the forest in the majority of the scenes and she also has some chill time in front of a colorful carousel while children frolic about.  It's a sweet visual treatment that relays the message of the lyrics to work through the pain, keep on going and keep on loving.

Carol Riddick is keeping things moving with her new album, Love Phases, which will be released on January 6th. This new collection, her first since her 2008 debut, is executive produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producers Carvin Haggins and Ivan Barrias of Carvin & Ivan fame and will also feature a duet with crooner Will Downing. Carol's Philly fam and fans can make plans to celebrate her album at the free release party on Tuesday, January 6th at Ms. Tootsie's from 7-10 pm.
