Anthony Hamilton has been here, there and everywhere this holiday season, and with good reason as he's had his excellent Home for the Holidays Christmas album to promote. His concert tour to support this new project may have just ended this past weekend, but he's not done spreading good cheer and tidings of joy. During his tour stop in New York City, Hamilton made the media rounds while there and stopped by the Hello Beautiful offices for a performance of his album's title track.
As far as Anthony Hamilton performances go, this is on the more subdued side of the scale. He and his background vocalists The HamilTones don't really let loose on this like they do in concert (or as they did for Steve Harvey), but you do get a feel for the country roots of this cut. The fellas are accompanied by Anthony's musical director Kenny Leonard who exquisitely tickles the ivories.
This live performance of "Home for the Holidays" is just a sample of what Anthony had in store for fans on the Home For The Holidays Tour, which was a combination party, revival and soul music clinic. If you missed him on this tour, then you definitely missed out, but hopefully you're not missing out on being home for the holidays with your loved ones this Christmas.
