Fast & Furious actor and rapper Ludacris is gearing up for his ninth studio album, but before we get our hands on it, he's dropping a few tracks here and there to let us know what he's working on. Ludacris teams up with soul aficianado and SoulBounce fave Miguel on a piano-backed track to reminisce about past loves. In "Good Lovin'" we get a mid-tempo single featuring Luda's signature tongue-twisting lyrics and Miguel's seductive crooning. We miss hearing Miguel and are excited to get another fix of him after his recent collaboration with The Chemical Brothers and Lorde.
But back to "Good Lovin'," produced by Da Internz, the beat is subdued but catchy and focuses on the keys to eliminate any potential distractions to support Miguel's impeccably smooth vocals. "I need some real good lovin' / Cause ain’t nobody been around here, lovin' on me," he sings. Ludacris is still on top of his game and doesn't skip a beat, rapping "It's better to have loved and then lost than never have loved at all / If that was true, I wouldn't be drinking this alcohol."
"Good Lovin'" will be on Ludacris' EP Burning Bridges, which is due just in time for the holidays in December. We'll have to wait a little longer for his album, Ludaversal, which debuts March 31st but at least we'll get some good loving right now in the form of his latest single. Listen below and let us know if we should love this track or have never loved it at all.
