While we gear up for the release of Traci Braxton's debut album on Tuesday, it seems another Braxton sister couldn't let her be great is also going to be in the spotlight this week. Tamar Braxton surprised her Tamartian fans this morning with brand spanking new single "Let Me Know."

The mid-tempo number, which features the Auto-Tuned drawl of ATL rapper Future on the chorus for some reason, finds Tamar in the same lane as she was with last year's Love and War as she details the love and frustration that can be found in relationships. "We've been through so many things / Ups and downs and in-betweens / If you need more love from me, I'll give you more, just let me know," she sings on the song's hook, weaving another tale of a tumultuous relationship.

While Tamar is in pretty good vocal form here, we only wish that the song was a bit more inspired. Outside of the sample of Aaliyah's version of "At Your Best (You Are Love)," there's very little here that is of interest. The song rides on a generic piano-and-808 rhythm that has been used by every R&B starlet this side of Mariah Carey. Also, being that she used a similar sound for most of the mid-tempo cuts on Love and War, it begins to feel a little "been there, done this." Maybe "She" needs to take a lesson from rival K. Michelle, who switched her style up a bit for her new single "Love 'Em All," and try a little something new.
