British singer MNEK recently took the Vevo DSCVR stage to perform an acoustic version of his hit song "Wrote A Song About You." Backed by a band and two background singers, MNEK begins his set smooth and calm but the party starts once the music kicks in. The harmonious background singers add soul to a song whose cup already overfloweth with it, and we're here for it.
Unlike most acoustic sets, the dance-inspired single doesn't lose its dance element and it will have you grooving out of your seat. The young Brit sings his dope heart out even more towards the end of the song, and, of course, we didn't want it to end. But alas, it does and we're forced to replay the awesomeness we just watched. MNEK can write a song about us any day now, and if it sounds anything like this performance we just may do the same.
