French producer Invoker uses his ingenuity to recreate a Jill Scott classic. The remix connoisseur picks up "It's Love," from Jill's debut album Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, turns it inside out and shakes it out to reveal an electro banger that has UK garage elements and a little dub step. Immediately opening up with an infectious beat, which still keeps some elements of its original coat, Invoker screws and then speeds up Scott's vocals to continuously repeat the song's lyrics "They say I'm crazy."
Though a little faster than the original, Invoker still lets Scott do her thing and sing the rest of the song, which immediately has us open for whatever else he has in store for us. By the time you get to the end of the track, with its creative use of keys and percussion, you've experienced a consistent head nod that you wouldn't mind playing back and reliving again.
