It looks like next weekend will be a great one to be in Philadelphia. That’s because one of SoulBounce’s favorite R&B duos, Kindred the Family Soul, will be headlining the first annual Kindred the Family Reunion on Saturday, August 9th. Thrown in conjunction with Pennsylvania State Representative Jordan A. Harris, Urban Roots and Philly Rising will offer a day of food, fun and entertainment in celebration of the city’s rich soul music history.
Headlining alongside Kindred will be fellow Philly natives Jazmine Sullivan and Jaguar Wright, as well as a few other local up-and-coming artists like Suzann Christine and quintet Brotherly Love. With a lineup like that, it’s safe to say that reunion attendees’ ears will definitely be in good hands.
To make it even sweeter, the entire all-day event is being offered to the audience completely free of charge thanks to local sponsors So if you live in Philly (or just happen to find yourself in the City of Brotherly Love next weekend), do yourself a solid and find your way to Chew Playground next Saturday and get much more than just your daily dose of soul.
