Faith Evans' 'Love' Has Never Sounded Quite 'Like This' Sh?m Remix

To say that Faith Evans' 1998 cut "Love Like This" was a jam would be an understatement. The song, from her album Keep the Faith, has been known to set a party or two off in its heyday and probably still could get a club jumping thanks in part to its skillful sample of Chic's "Cheek Cheer" and good time vibe.

Sh?m, who we last heard from when he partnered with Abstract Youth for a remix of Maxwell's "Ascension," got his hands on Faith's burner and worked his own magic on the track, now with the added distinction of being a part of his "B-Side Bootleg" collection. Keeping her original vocals intact, the remixer switches the groove to a four-on-the-floor stunner complete with a thumping kick drum, wavy synth organ, handclaps and hi hats that turn up the tune's danceability up a few dozen notches. Though they say if it ain't broke, don't fix it, they never said you couldn't rework it, and Sh?m has worked this one the hell out.

While Sh?m is putting in more work to finish up his debut EP, this remix is being offered as a freebie by his label, Darker Than Wax, in their ongoing free download series. Take a listen to his revision right here and make sure you grab the download, as it's definitely worth your while.
