It seems that the indie life is working much better for Azealia Banks than her previous time spent over at Interscope. Not only was she able to drop her new single, "Heavy Metal and Reflective," fairly soon after the announcement of her freedom from the label, but the rambunctious rapstress has now delivered the video for the track a little more than a week later.
The clip finds the rapper and sometimes singer speeding through the desert on motor bikes as the firestarter appropriately dons a black catsuit adorned with cutouts and red and yellow flames and spits rapid fire lyrics. Unfortunately, though, that's pretty much the gist of the entire video, as not much else goes on (though there is a weird sequence at the beginning where it appears Azealia might've been kidnapped by her moto gang and broke free, but it is never really addressed again).
Still, it's good to see Azealia looking fierce and spitting hot fire rather than running her mouth on Twitter and causing unnecessary drama. We'll have to wait and see if this means that her long-awaited debut, Broke With Expensive Taste, will be headed our way soon, but at least we finally have signs of musical life coming from Azealia direction again.
