While most of Pharrell's early solo career has long since been forgotten (and with good reason), his first solo single, "Frontin'," has managed to be evergreen, sprouting up in new and interesting incarnations. The latest is a remix by none other than Disclosure. The brotherly UK duo puts their signature spin on the 2003 track, creating a house groove around the original's mellow chords (though they've made them sound a bit more warm and synth-y here) and Pharrell's Mayfield-esque vocals. And, just in case you thought that Jay Z's guest verse on the track would be left out in favor of the groove they've created, they work that in there, too to great effect. And just like that, "Frontin'" has made it back onto your playlist once again.
Disclosure says that maybe, just maybe, they'll release this re-work for free if the group gets to 1 million likes on Facebook. So get to liking and get to listening to their "Frontin'" rework right now.
