Nosaj Thing & Future Add Some Bite To Little Dragon's 'Klapp Klapp'

Little Dragon Future

I've gone on record saying that Little Dragon's "Klapp Klapp," the first single from their amazing (and recently released) fourth album Nabuma Rubberband, is one of the best songs of the quartet's career. And it seems that a lot of producers agree with me, as remixes of the track have been abundant. But Nosaj Thing hopes there's room for one more, as he drops his hip-hop flavored take on the track. Pairing the original's driving rhythm and hand claps with space-y synths and drum machines, he does a good job at switching up that groove while keeping the track's original essence. That is, until he inexplicably invites Future to the party. It's the musical equivalent of Chill constantly bumping Bilal's turntable, as the garbled, Auto-Tuned mess that Future contributes complete effs up the groove. Just when we had a good thing going. Take a listen to the remix here and try to imagine how great it would've been if only Future had stayed home.
