BASECAMP's debut, self-titled EP made quite a splash when it dropped last year. The four-track collection was a short but sweet introduction to the talents of Aaron Miller, Aaron C. Harmon and Jordan Reyes, and their soulfully haunting take on modern R&B. Since the EP's release the trio have been out on the road perfecting their craft and have decided to release a free download of one of the track's they frequently cover at their live shows, Ace of Base's "All That She Wants." Now I don't know about you, but this song immediately conjures up images of youthful, carefree summers, so I was intrigued to hear how BASECAMP would spin it. The skeletal, fractured R&B of their EP is present, as are those beautifully mournful vocals, which give the song a completely new dimension to the Swedish pop group's original, which is exactly what a good cover should bring to the table. The track will feature alongside "Emmanuel" on a limited edition 7" single in anticipation of their forthcoming appearance at Austin's SXSW, but you can download it for free via SoundCloud.
