The first week of January saw the BBC 1Xtra team profile some of the best up-and-coming talent in the realm of soul and R&B, and, of course, SoulBounce fave Kwabs was one of the artists covered. Sticking to BBC Live Lounge formula, he performed his new single “Wrong Or Right” and a cover, surprisingly opting for Blackstreet’s smash hit “Don’t Leave.” Presenter Trevor Nelson hyped the performance following his sneak peek at soundcheck, and it’s safe to say Kwabs delivered when it came to go live, wrapping those stunning vocals around the original’s unforgettable groove. It's good to see (and even better to hear) Kwabs getting his much-deserved shine in advance of his Wrong Or Right EP, which unfortunately won't include this cover.
