This time he dug back in the crates and takes Brandy's "I Wanna Be Down" to task and wouldn't you know that this song from 1994 in its shiny new coat of sonic soul is quite accessible in the now? I suspect if Brandy even released it today it would get some chart action, as it did over 19 years ago as her debut single. Well, maybe I'm being biased as "I Wanna Be Down" is probably one of my top three Brandy cuts, but starRo does put a saucy spin on it that warrants repeat listens.
