Reva DeVito Gives Us 'The Sweetest Taboo'

You bet this had me at "The Sweetest Taboo" as Sade's hit 1986 single is possibly my all-time favorite song from Ms. Adu and company, but also seeing Reva DeVito's name attached to it and knowing her track record, also had me rushing for the play button as well. Still I wondered, how was this going to fare considering my precious devotion to Sade? Well, I can breathe easy and press repeat as DeVito's cover fares extremely well. Tapping into the sensuous love letter Sade lyrically wrote, DeVito adopts similar slow paced vocals, but she takes the song into the 21st century with dreamy synths and a stylish beat courtesy of B. Bravo's production. Even better is that new tunes of this caliber will be a constant from DeVito, as every Friday she'll be dropping something free and fresh. So make sure you follow DeVito at her SoundCloud spot so you can be on top of all the newness (and free-ness) to come.
