I'm always skeptical when it comes to artists releasing sequel albums. When Busta Rhymes announced that he would be launching Extinction Level Event 2 on Cash Money Records and dropped "Twerk It" as the lead single, all side eyes were pointed in his direction. But everything changed today when the tongue-twister spitter unleashed the follow-up single of all follow-up singles in "Thank You." Complete with the ill Alicia Myers sample along with brief guest appearances from Birdman, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West, "Thank You" finds Busta and Q-Tip tag teaming in what could possibly be the strongest hip-hop moment of the year. "When me and Abstract together, see we deliver," Busta raps. And indeed, these two rap legends do deliver. I still say that E.L.E. 2 won't be complete without another classic joint with Janet Jackson, i.e. "What's It Gonna Be," but for now...you're on the right track, Bus.
