As dance music continues to top the charts, music purists can't help but think of the style's beginnings in the 1970s. At the top of the influencer's list is none other than the legendary Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder. Their partnership will surely go down as one of the greatest in music history. On October 22nd, Verve will honor Donna with the compilation project, Love To Love You Donna, a tribute album with remixes by some of the hottest acts out there. Also featured on this project is "La Dolce Vita," an unreleased work by Summer and Moroder. The song showcases Donna's versatile voice and has their sonic fingerprints all over it. "La Dolce Vita" should find a nice home on a mix with one of this summer's hottest jams, Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." Ease into the weekend with this slice of some classic dance music and hear how sweet it is.
