Do I even need to ask if anyone needs a new Aaliyah remix? The answer is pretty obvious. There's always room for something new (especially when it's free), and especially when you've got Soulection wunderkind starRo at the helm of this refixing. As "Are You That Somebody" is a track that I've heard a zillion times since its release back in 1998, hearing it scrambled up with flourishes of dirty south flavored hip-hop and a gliding neo-soul slow burn during the verses, makes for an exceptional take on this R&B classic. Nary a blemish is to be found here, except that I wish it could have gone on a little longer than the less than three-minute time slot it's given.
