It's August, so SoulBouncers should already know what that means, but just in case you don't, I'll let you in on the not-so-secret: SoulBounce is celebrating its birthaversary! That's right, we are celebrating six years of bringing you the past, present and future of soul music from around the world. What better way to honor our birthaversary and mission than to highlight music of the soul diaspora all month long with our Mixologists mixes? Each Friday in August we will take SoulBouncers on a journey into global soul with some of our favorite mixologists taking you on a weekly audio trip. The first stop is to the island of Jamaica for our very first reggae mix courtesy of my good friend EZ Street, who can be heard on the airwaves of 93.9 FM WKYS in the Washington, DC area. Anyone who knows EZ Street know what he reps hard for reggae and loves the culture, so I couldn't think of a better person to bring us the Soul of Reggae.
