Hear Johnnyswim's 'Heart Beats'

Comprised of husband-and-wife duo Abner Ramirez and Amanda Sudano, the classy act Johnnyswim have already made quite an impression on me due to their striking visual for single "Heart Beats." Maybe it's my love for the romantics, but the LA-based couple are giving me all kinds of Brontë sisters' literary feels with this visual, just sans cold, marshy Moors and lunatic wives secluded in towers. Off of their EP of the same name, "Heart Beats" is just as arresting aurally as it touts bold shades of folk, soul and pop, sounding akin to if Lianne La Havas joined Florence + The Machine at the spur of the moment. Very nice indeed. Johnnyswim aren't exactly new to the scene as they have been writing music and dropping EP's together since 2008, and it should also be mentioned that Sudano is the daughter of none other than late singing legend Donna Summer and noted producer Bruce Sudano, and yes, talent is heavily embedded in the genes as Sudano's vocals are spot-on, just like her mother's. With that in mind, it's easy to see and hear why Johnnyswim will capture attention once word gets out. Peep the video below to be whisked away into a whirlwind romance.
