R&B lovers in Washington, DC are in for a serious treat. Starting in August at the Howard Theatre will be the DMV debut of RnB Spotlight. That's right, the live showcase of national and local R&B acts that's taken NYC by storm will be taking a trip down the highway to DC for its inaugural performance there on Sunday, August 11th. The DC kick-off concert will also be taking a trip down memory lane right to the '90s with scheduled performances by RL from Next and Meelah from 702. But that's not all, local talents will be sharing the stage and DMV-based indie artists interested in performing are encouraged to send in a live video to be considered for this historic occasion. Details on where to send your videos in can be found on the flyer after the bounce. For those interested in simply being in the audience to soak all this soul and R&B in, tickets are currently on sale at the Howard Theatre box office and Ticketmaster.
