Well summer is officially upon us (although you wouldn't guess it looking out of my window), and what better way to usher it in than with the latest remix from Soulpersona? "Perfect Person" is the latest single from Light of The World, a British band formed in the late '70s who are credited as being the forerunners of the jazz-funk/acid jazz movement, which grew throughout the '80s and early '90s and gave rise to a large number of SoulBounce favorites. The band are still going strong, albeit with none of its original members, and have teamed up with vocal powerhouse Jocelyn Brown to deliver a groove-led, six-minute slice of contemporary soul music that is guaranteed to get you moving. The fact that this has Soulpersona's "raregroove" stamp all over it is just the icing on the cake.
