We Are 'Never Gonna Let You' Get Caught 'Sleeping' On 14th

It's been a while since we heard from UK-based duo 14th. Their modern take on '90s UK garage and R&B was a breath of fresh air when they dropped the utterly addictive "Hide Yourself" in the latter part of 2011, and when they followed it up with the equally catchy "Take You There" a couple of months later, it seemed that Tracey Duodu and Tom Barber would be a force to be reckoned with. Since then things have been a little on the quiet side, but the pair are just about to embark on a sold-out UK tour supporting Bonobo, and to celebrate they have just dropped a free download of their mash-up of two massive '90's tracks, Indo's "R U Sleeping" and Tina Moore's "Never Gonna Let You Go." Whereas the original tracks were certified dance floor jams, 14th have slowed proceedings right down, delivering a haunting slice of downtempo R&B built around a couple of huge sub drops and those spine-tingling vocals. We need an album from these two ASAP.
