Jess Ingui Doesn't Need To 'Fix' A Thing On 'This'

A simple, well-crafted song that tells an engaging story aided by a riveting voice can transcend genre, style and boundaries. Just take a look at great modern day story tellers such as Adele and Amy Winehouse and the impact they had globally for proof of this. Long Island, NY-based singer Jess Ingui's debut track, "Fix This," contains all of the aforementioned qualities with vocals that convey an honesty and purity that manage to lure the listener in, a simple yet catchy melody and a tale that tugs at the heart. The mellow, guitar-driven Josh Boorum produced "Fix This" blends pop and soul as it tells the tale of a relationship that's hanging on by a thread. Ingui reminds listeners on this delicate number that sometimes that thread can be all that's needed to sew the remains of the relationship back together and could even be what makes it stronger. "Fix This" is a luscious little introduction to Jess Ingui and has me keeping an ear out for what direction this 22-year-old heads to musically in the future.
