CharlieRED's Video 'Could Be' Open To Interpretation

I'm lightweight upset with my friends for letting me sleep so long on CharlieRED. The duo puts the underappreciated "B" in R&B. The video for the single "Could Be" from their 2012 debut Religion EP is definitely made for you to rock your head and grip your chin in heavy contemplation. In the video, the protagonist comes home after what seems to be a hard day and plops down on the couch to finish (what I am assuming to be) the adult and illegal (depending on what state/district you live in) activity he started earlier. As he tosses his head back, multiple women accost him with accusations and demands. He sits emotionless, not just in a Sweet Brown "ain't nobody got time for that" way, but in a more "I give up" manner. The reason why this piece is so interesting is because it is open to interpretation. Has his double and triple-timing ways caught up to him and now he can't explain his actions? Did he suffer a traumatic experience? Who knows, but I am sure it isn't that deep. I appreciate the time and creativity put into the visuals. It definitely made me think, which doesn't happen that often in contemporary videos.
