Fuse has opened the doors and allowed the world to take a deeper look into the life of the late producer and beatsmith supreme, J Dilla, with the latest installment of their Crate Diggers series. Interviewing his family, friends and even the owner of the Detroit record store that he frequented, Crate Diggers does an incredible job of chronicling his story, shining a light on his massive body of work, detailing his passion for music and sharing a look into his collection of records. His work with Janet Jackson, Talib Kweli, Macy Gray, Common, A Tribe Called Quest, J*DaVeY and even a Faith Evans collaboration are brought to light as J. Rocc and friends take a trip into his storage unit to sift through a portion of his collection. Also featured in the clip is Dilla's mother, Ma Dukes, telling stories of the first record she gave Dilla as a child as well as the time he spent schooling her on how to properly shop for records as his health began to fail and he spent months at a time in the hospital.
